Since graduating with a BA Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Leeds in 2010, Remel London has gone on to be a well known and loved TV and radio presenter and host as well as an online and video blogger.

Known for her love of UK music she is the face and lead presenter of Link Up TV, ILUVLIVE and SKY 1’s What’s Up, Remel and has racked up over 10,000 followers on twitter, over 5000 connections on Facebook as well as over 3 million views combined across several YouTube channels that continues to grow each day.

Her Presenting style is comedic, warm and relaxed which credits her healthy knowledge of all things Showbiz, music and entertainment.

As well as producing entertainment content Remel is a noted urban music specialist and for this reason she was elected a position on the MOBO Awards music industry panel from 2013 – 2015 MOBO ceremonies.

You may remember little Joshua Beckford from BYA Awards 2012, where he won the Education award?

Well since then, he has continued to excel and achieve some more amazing things!


Here’s an update from his dad, Knox Daniel:-


“Joshua has just been invited to speak at the TED x Vienna International Conference on the 22nd October 2016.

TED X will be flying Joshua and I over for the conference where he will speak to over 1,000 attendees and meet some of the top professors and scientists from around the world.

This is another first as he is the only child ever invited to address the adult TED x Conference.


He has also been shortlisted out of 20,000 nominees for the National Diversity Award 2016 in Liverpool Cathedral on the 22nd October.


Haringey Council is including him in a Black History Documentary next week Friday.


He is also features on the website of One United Bank the largest Black Bank in the U.S in Boston.


He has recently finished a Science Course at Imperial College London University!”

Lashai is leading

Lashai Ben Salmi, once a victim of horrible bullying at school and its after effects such as lack of confidence and self-esteem, is now an award winning author, motivational and public speaker and radio talk show host.


Winning the 2011 BYA Award in the STEM category, Lashai is a young woman with a leading spirit who is definitely showing her younger brothers and sister how to overcome challenges and become the best version of self.


We look forward to hearing about more of her successes over the years.
